Road Safety Show

We are the Roadwise Rangers!
Year 3 were so lucky to have a fantastic performance this Thursday all about crossing the road safely. It was so funny and we had to scream and shout a lot. The funniest part was when the teachers had to get up and dance.
We now know the best places to cross the road are:
1. A Zebra Crossing
2. A Pelican Crossing
3.With a lollipop person
We know that we should NEVER
- run across the road
- cross the road between parked cars
We must always - STOP LOOK AND LISTEN

Making stable structures.

In D&T this week Mrs Borquez challenged us to make a stable structure like a table, chair or a bridge. We had newspaper, one pair of scissors and a roll of sellotape and we had to work as a team to create a structure that would stand up at the end of the lesson. It was a very noisy lesson but we had great fun!

Drama - Invasion of the Romans.

On Wednesday this week the children of 3B were transported back to the year AD43 when the Romans attacked the Celts in Britain. They had a fantastic morning acting out Celtic life and how they would have felt when the Romans attacked and captured them.

Literacy in the environmental area

3B visited the environmental area this week to help them write a descriptive setting in Literacy. They had to think about the sights, smells and sounds they found and write down ideas on post-it notes. Back in class they sorted and discussed their ideas and then used them to write some excellent descriptions.
